Koh Lanta has a number of beaches such as Kaw Kwang, Klong Dao, Long Beach, Klong Khong, Klong Nin, etc. Klong Dao is famous for its white powdery sand, and shallow rock free water.

The accommodation is available along the beaches. There is also the availability of villas, bungalows and bamboo huts with merge with the lush green flora giving an exotic view.

The main town on this island is Saladan. It is here that ferries or cars drop the tourists. This town is an amalgamation of ethnic and modern cultures. There are glass fronted business houses and traditional markets and fishing stores, etc. This town has convenience stores and is the main spot for any kind of shopping.

Climate:
It is warm throughout the year.
Koh Lanta is not as commercialized as other Thai islands. It is cheaper than most of them. It is a place with an old world charm. It is calm and quiet. It has a laid back approach. It is a good getaway from the hustle bustle of a big city life.
